Jo Malone: Hair Profile
Even though she’s most famous for her mega successful companies Jo Malone London and Jo Loves, it’s time to give some much-deserved attention to the woman behind the brand.
When it comes to Jo Malone’s hair, she’s found a cut and colour that speaks for itself. Her short hairstyle is practical and pretty, playing with a range of cool blonde hues to stand out from the crowd.
While some people enjoy the risk of switching up their signature cut and hue, Jo proves there’s really no reason to stray from a formula that works well.
In terms of personal style, she’s known for her low-maintenance floppy fringe and centre part, which makes for an effortless and low-key look that’s all over her Instagram page. Even in lockdown, she kept her blonde hue maintained with at-home dyeing sessions.
Stretching back 20 years, Jo has been incrediby consistent in terms of what she wants from her hair. Her shoulder-grazing bob has been a mainstay over the past decade, with only the colour altering from warm to cool blonde over the years.
Jo has spoken in favour of Josh Wood products in the past and is particularly sold on our Airbrush Root Spray: “It works straight away to hide dark roots and also adds volume to hair – it’s so easy to use,” she told Get The Gloss.
Her experience in the beauty industry has inspired the creation of her own haircare products, including scented shampoos that aim to leave hair with a natural-looking shine and fragrance.
Jo is an expert when it comes to scent, with her luxurious fragrances, scented candles, and scented skincare products leaving their mark on the beauty industry as a whole. In 2008, Jo received an MBE for her services to the industry.
She later earned a CBE for services to the British Economy and the GREAT Britain campaign, which promotes British creativity and industry on the international stage.
As a businesswoman with two companies to run, it’s no surprise that Jo tends to avoid time-consuming styles. Because she already has naturally fair hair, the upkeep on her blonde look is less intense than it would be for brunettes.
Forever keeping it professional, Jo’s classic cut works at any event, from the opening of her boutiques in Beverly Hills to her appearances in a range of style magazines.
Her look is tidy and sophisticated, with the cool blonde colour complimenting her complexion and adding volume and dimension to her hair texture.
For someone who’s always on the go, Jo’s hair strikes the balance perfectly between style and substance.
